Quinoa (Keen-wa)

Why quinoa?

Quinoa is a grain that is extremely high in amino acids. It is considered a complete protein, meaning that it includes all nine of the essential amino acids that your body needs. Quinoa is also high in magnesium, a mineral that relaxes the blood vessels preventing headaches and migraines. Riboflavin, a mineral that produces energy within cells, is also abundant in quinoa. Its high fiber content combined with the previously mentioned magnesium content makes a potent preventative of cardiovascular disease.
